Beehive Restaurant Review
When you’re spending real money on dinner, it better be an experience. Beehive made sure of it.
We don’t eat out often. And when we do?
The food better be worth it.
The ambiance better be flawless.
The service better make us feel like royalty on a Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Beehive Dallas delivered on every single front.
We walked in expecting a solid meal.
We walked out wondering why no one had warned us we were about to be fully emotionally compromised by a steak and a chandelier.
The Atmosphere Was a Whole Mood
If you’ve ever wanted to eat dinner inside a velvet-wrapped art installation, this is your place.
From the second you walk in, you’re met with dramatic velvet seating, soft purple lighting, a honeycomb reception counter, glowing chandeliers, and more pampas grass than an influencer’s wedding. The ceilings are high, the tables are elegant, and it feels like you’re somewhere important, even if it’s just dinner with your kids.
We arrived early (around 4 p.m.) to avoid the dinner crowd, and for more than an hour, we had the entire place to ourselves. Private dining energy on a weekday? Yes, please.
Beverages
Even though we don’t drink, we always order something fun and the mocktail menu had some great options, which led us to believe that their cocktail offerings would be just as delicious. Here’s what we tried:
Shirley Temples for the kids, obviously.
Yuzu & Pineapple Spritz – Light, refreshing, but ultimately forgettable.
Dragon Fruit Refresher – Bright, bubbly, and a total standout. Tasted as good as it looked.
While we didn’t try any alcoholic drinks ourselves, we were impressed by the cocktail menu and what we saw around us. If you do drink, you can expect options like:
Lychee martinis
Floral-forward mojitos
Elegant wine pairings
Several signature cocktails with dramatic garnishes
It’s the kind of place where you don’t just order a drink, you admire it.
Appetizers
We like to order family-style so everyone gets a little of everything, and Beehive’s starters made that incredibly easy. Here’s what we went with:
Chicken Bao Buns – Soft, savory, and rich without being heavy.
Beef Bao Buns – Slightly sweet, perfectly seasoned, and melt-in-your-mouth good.
Steak Bites – Crispy edges, tender centers, and seasoned so perfectly we almost ordered another plate.
Every single dish came out hot, beautifully plated, and impossible to stop eating. This is exactly what we think of when imagining “cuisine”.
Entrées
Everything we ordered felt intentionally crafted, from the plating to the portion sizes to the flavors. Here’s what we tried:
Garlic Noodles – Rich, buttery, and incredibly comforting. The kids absolutely devoured them.
Prime Ribeye – Charred just right on the outside, juicy and tender inside, and sliced perfectly for sharing.
There were a few other dishes we had our eyes on and would absolutely come back to try next time:
The lobster tail, which looked unreal.
The fried rice trio smelled amazing as it passed our table.
The seared salmon nearly gave us ordering regret when we saw it land just as we were leaving.
Dessert: The Most Dramatic Exit Ever
If you’re a dessert person, this is where the show really starts.
We ordered the dessert flight: three mini layered desserts, each served in a martini glass on a gold stand with a giant cotton candy cloud suspended overhead. It was whimsical, ridiculous, and completely perfect. Here’s what came with it:
Mango panna cotta – Silky, slightly tart, and topped with fresh berries.
Matcha mousse – Earthy, creamy, and really well-balanced.
Tiramisu – Rich, bold, and slightly bitter in all the best ways.
The presentation alone makes this worth it. But the flavors sealed the deal.
What You Should Absolutely Order
If you’re only going once, or want to get it right the first time, these are the dishes we’d confidently recommend:
Steak bites
Dragon fruit refresher
Garlic noodles
Prime ribeye
Dessert flight (don’t skip this, seriously)
Dinner That Stays With You
Beehive Dallas wasn’t just a dinner out, it was a memory.
From the service to the food to the “Is this real life?” ambiance, every detail felt intentional. The kind of place you go when you want to celebrate something or just want to remember why dining out should feel special.
Would we go back? In a heartbeat.
Would we fly back to Dallas just to eat here again?
Honestly? It’s not off the table.
10/10. If you’re going to splurge, make it Beehive.
